Guy Korngold | Camp Director | guy@ckb.ca | Biluim 1985

Guy’s first summer at Camp Kinneret was in 1982. This was the beginning of a journey that changed his life. Guy spent five consecutive seasons as a camper at Camp Kinneret, Camp Biluim Canada and Camp Biluim Israel. In 1987 Guy joined the CKB staff team where he spent the next six consecutive seasons in a variety of roles including counsellor, Unit Head and Program Director. In 1993 and 1994, Guy spent his summers in Israel guiding teenagers throughout the Israeli landscape. He enjoyed this experience immensely and chose to stay in Israel for the year and serve as a madrich and coordinator for the Young Judaea Year Course Program. This experience led him to New York City where he spent the next three years as the National Director of Hamagshimim, the college and university expression of Young Judaea. Summers were spent coordinating activity at the YJ leadership camp in Upstate New York.

Guy has his BA Anthropology, a diploma in Early Childhood Education, and is a graduate of the Foundation for Jewish Camps’ Executive leadership Institute. Guy is married to Erica Rubin (also a former Camp Kinneret-Biluim camper and staff member and current Office and Food Services Manager) and they are the proud parents of Daniel and Mia who are also current Kinneret and Biluim Israel campers. Guy started to play guitar and drums while he was a camper and he lists music, swimming, canoeing and camping among his greatest passions. Guy has been serving as the Camp Kinneret-Biluim Director since 1999.

Sierra Leibner | Associate Camp Director | sierra@ckb.ca | Biluim 2014

Sierra began her experience at Camp Kinneret-Biluim in 2009 when she was 11 years old. Sierra graduated from Kinneret as a LIT camper in 2013 and continued on to Camp Biluim in 2014 and Camp Biluim Israel in 2015. In 2016, Sierra returned to Kinneret as a Goshrim cabin staff member and then transitioned to Camp Biluim as Rosh Avodah & Biluim staff in 2017 and 2018. While Sierra pursued internships towards her degree the following summers, nothing could hold her back and in the summers of 2021 and 2022, Sierra served as CKB’s Infirmary Manager.

In 2020, Sierra received her Bachelor’s of Commerce degree from McGill University at the Desautels Faculty of Management. After pursuing a double concentration in Marketing and Finance, Sierra worked in business development for a clinical research firm. In the city, you can find Sierra cooking, practicing yoga, dancing, reading, cross country skiing, and snowboarding. In the summer, you will find Sierra hanging out at the docks or on a lake swim, loving Shira and Rikud on Shabbat, and playing every sport!

Sierra loves working with kids and teens and is passionate about helping others realize their potential. Sierra loved how camp allowed her to safely explore challenges that were outside of her comfort zone and credits these experiences for nurturing her own personal growth and development. Sierra is beyond excited to foster such an environment for all of her Kinneret & Biluim campers.
